BUY - Inexpensive Multi-card Reader
March 24th, 2008 | by Rob |WHY? You’ve got several kinds of memory cards so get a light-weight, inexpensive, and good multi-card reader.
I won’t promote products often like this, but when I do, it’s because I think it’s well worth it. I own this multi-card reader and am VERY happy and think it will be useful for you also. I’ve recommended it to a few people already and yesterday I received an email asking about a good multi-card reader.
If you’re like me, you probably have several different kinds of memory cards floating around. I have one kind for my camera, another kind for my wife’s camera, one for my old mobile phone and I can get a new and different card for my new mobile phone! What I needed was a good card reader that was portable, inexpensive, and reliable.
That’s when I found the Transcend Portable Multi-card Reader. It’s no bigger than 3 inches squared and weighs less than pound making it very portable. It easily reads most memory cards (all that I have) and costs about $10. Just plug in a card and attach the reader via USB to your computer. Open up “My Computer” and you’ll see each card plugged in as it’s own drive. Just drag and drop.
When downloading photos from my camera, I prefer using a card reader instead of a cable attached to the camera. The main reason is because I don’t want to use battery power to download!
You can purchase it in my Amazon store if you’re interested.
