Interesting Things to Subscribe To using RSS

You have yourself a RSS reader (like Google Reader) but you need some interesting feeds or websites to subscribe to. Let’s get some interesting stuff! Remember if you are using Firefox you can go to any site and if it has a feed to subscribe to, it will show up in the web address like in the image below.

If you are using Internet Explorer, here are some tips on using IE to subscribe to Google Reader easily.
Well of course I’m going to assume you’re already subscribed to 170spoons.com so you can stay up to date with the latest and greatest tips, tools, and tutorials for technology, right? Okay, if not, here is the RSS feed.
Know anyone who blogs? They have a RSS feed. Go subscribe to your friend’s stuff!
You are in Facebook? You can get friend’s status updates and notifications by RSS.
Search blogs for keywords (search and subscribe on the results page).
You want to stay current on news? Go to any news site and look for an RSS button. I’m talking any news sites that are national, global, local, sports, weather, entertainment, anything. Go to your favorite sites and check them out. Some of these sites may not have the icon in the web address bar.
Here’s a few shortcuts for you: CNN has a lot of feeds to subscribe to as well as the BBC. Google News has a very interesting service in you can subscribe to an RSS feed for any news category, or do a search and subscribe to news based on your search! In any case, just look for the RSS link in the left column. Just be warned — these news sites send out a lot of updates!
Or just find other creative ways to use RSS without a reader.
